Meet The Influencer: Andrea Da Silva

Meet Andrea...she is a London blogger, influencer and also a PR girl who runs her own company called Coconut Social. Andrea is a total boss babe and is so big on supporting one another in the blogging community. So, I thought that I'd have a little chat with her to get to know her better and to also get some useful tips and advice about blogging and body confidence.

Q: What is your name & what do you do?
A: My name is Andrea and I'm a Blogger at Brasilnality and Founder & Social Media Expert at Coconut Social.

Q: Where are you from?
A: I'm Brazilian, mixed West African, and grew up in Germany.

Q: How do you normally find inspirations for your style and posts?
A: I find inspiration through my friends, fellow bloggers and travelling.

Q: How long have been blogging/been an influencer for?
A: I've been blogging for 4 years now.

Q: Do you think that plus-size bloggers are very much represented in the blogging industry?
A: I think plus-size bloggers representation is increasing in the industry but there's still a long way to go. There are a lot of plus size bloggers out here but to be as great as we want we need brands to cooperate. This is a tough industry for everyone who is not a stereotypical blogger and we have to push for attention from brands to show our potential and influence.

Q: From a PR's point of view, what advice do you have for bloggers in regards to pitching to brands?
A: From a PR's point of view it is very important to write a good email/pitch. Half the time I don't reply emails because it's literally one sentence saying "Hi. I'd like to collaborate with your brand." Be nice, pitch a good idea and make the person want to read more. First impressions count!

Q: Can you give us some tips on self-love and body confidence?
A: The 'secret' behind self-love and body confidence is acceptance for me. I accept who I am as a person and the way I look and I love myself. If you don't like the way you look, change it until you do but don't let anyone tell you to do so. It is a mindset. If you're comfortable, that's all that matters! You deserve to be treated and respected just like anyone else, no matter how you look and how much society tells us we need to look like Kim K. We're all Queen's ready to slay!
